“Mankis Farm” is one of the pioneers in the production of CBD cannabis. Very early on, the Swiss company relied on accumulated know-how, innovative technologies and, to optimize the growth parameters, on a partner with many years of experience in professional cannabis production. The close cooperation with SANSOL and the use of the SANlight innovations have visibly borne fruit. In this way, “Mankis Farm” was able to improve the quality of its plants, successfully increase the yield and expand its position as one of the leading CBD indoor farms in the European market. And that with lower operating and production costs.
Jennersdorf, August 8, 2019 — The Swiss company “Mankis Farm” has specialized in the cultivation of high-quality flowers for the CBD cannabis market under controlled conditions in closed rooms. “The CBD market has turned into a high-tech sector in recent years,” says Managing Director Benjamin Flatz. “If you want to remain competitive, you have to know all the growth parameters and master the corresponding technological solutions.” The professional cannabis gardener is primarily concerned with increasing a high-quality flower mass with increased ingredients — such as cannabinoids and terpenes — with the most constant cultivation area possible and reducing operating costs. SANSOL’s perfect project planning made a significant contribution to achieving these goals. The Austrian provider of reliable lighting solutions for professional horticulture has many years of experience in cannabis production, a comprehensive understanding of the cannabis market and the requirements of gardeners. “The ability to implement these requirements across processes and parameters in an economical solution made SANSOL the ideal partner for us,” confirms Benjamin Flatz.
In close cooperation with “Mankis Farm”, the experts from SANSOL developed a lighting solution that is optimally tailored to the needs of the cannabis plant, taking into account all growth parameters. With the Q6W developed in the SANlight laboratory, a light source was installed that, with its broadband spectrum, measurably increases the photosynthesis rate on the one hand and the production of valuable cannabinoids on the other. This is a spectrum similar to sunlight
with light components also outside the PAR range. A large-area, even growth result is guaranteed by a homogeneous light distribution and an optimal PPFD value. For this purpose, the lighting optics were designed accordingly and the arrangement of the lights above the cultivated area was appropriately calculated.
With the lively exchange and the stringent implementation of the solutions, both specialists were able to expand their experience. However, they have also been able to increase the quality of their products and maintain and expand their position in existing as well as new cannabis markets. And that with a measurable increase in income and falling costs.
